Exploring Rajasthan with Indian Excursions, whilst staying in Oberoi hotels, is an award winning combination for the ultimate in luxury. Voted as the ‘Best in the World’ by readers of Travel+Leisure, the Oberoi hotels are the epitome of opulence and will ensure a truly dignified stay in Rajasthan. These luxurious properties exude elegance and sophistication, whilst retaining an authentic Indian charm. Gaze at the Taj Mahal from the comfort of your own private terrace at the Oberoi Amarvilas, experience a luxury safari camp on the edge of a tiger reserve at the Oberoi Vanyavilas, and live the life of a maharaja and maharani at the Oberoi Rajvilas and the Oberoi Udaivilas. When paired with our experienced guides, dedicated drivers and seamless service, it’s easy to see why this is one of our most popular tours. Still, it’s merely a starting point to share a flavour of the possibilities, and can be tweaked or completely transformed until we’ve tailor-made your ideal journey.
*The Oberoi, Delhi, will be closed from the 1st April 2016 – 1st January 2018 as the hotel goes under renovation work. Comparable hotels to choose from in Delhi include the Leela Palace, the Imperial, and the Lodhi. People who prefer history and colonial art will be happier at the Imperial and for high-octane Indian glamour the Leela Palace is perfect. The Lodhi, on the other hand, is well suited to those looking for understated and contemporary luxury.
Optionally, those with a keen interest in colonial history may like to extend their journey with a stay at the Oberoi Grand in Kolkata, or take in the spectacular Himalayan foothills at the Oberoi Wildflower Hall in Shimla (we have a fabulous Shima extension that pairs perfectly with the luxury Oberoi tour described above). Alternatively, cruise along the tranquil backwaters of Kerala with a stay on the MV Oberoi Vrinda, to experience the contrasts of north and south India in style; or, relax on the beaches of Goa in a stylish, boutique hotel. Another possibility would be to end your tour in bustling Bombay with a stay at the Oberoi Mumbai, rather than returning to Delhi. For inspiration, we’d recommend taking a look through our Insider’s Guide to Oberoi Hotels in India, by clicking here. All our tours are private and tailor-made to complement your tastes and interests – the itinerary described above is really just a starting point and together we can refine it into your ideal Indian experience.
We're open Monday to Saturday 10:00 - 18:00. India is 5.5+ UTC.
